📜 A perfect example of MRTA’s recent wins includes a historic win for retired educators and public service employees, President Joe Biden signed the Social Security Fairness Act (H.R. 82) into law on January 5, 2025. This landmark legislation repeals the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and Government Pension Offset (GPO), ending unfair reductions to Social Security benefits for over 3.2 million public workers, including teachers, police officers, and firefighters.
